Access to the Website with the living proceedings of the Congress OCO-STW
Context
Systems for metocean nowcasting, forecasting and hindcasting are being developed to satisfy a growing need for information on the state of the coastal ocean. Their design follows up closely the implementation of operational oceanography for the blue ocean. Such systems incorporate monitoring networks and numerical modelling.
Programme
Congress sessions are dealing with scientific issues related to operational coastal oceanography systems.

Organisation
Ifremer, SHOM, Littoralis, IRD, Météo-France, IUEM and CNRS are co-organizing the congress. Financial support is also provided by Brest Métropole Océane and the Région Bretagne.
Special Events and Links with other SeaTechWeek events
The congress will take place on October 16th an 17th 2006, from 9 a .m. to 5 p.m., in le Quartz congress hall, downtown Brest, with the whole set of SeaTechWeek events, among which the exhibition of oceanographic material and services.
